The bill would amend the Occupations Code relating to the authority of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation to determine applicant eligibility for a license. Based on the analysis of the Department of Licensing and Regulation and the Office of the Governor, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
