No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to add a retired federal judge that is a resident of Texas or a retired judge that is a visiting judge to the list of active or retired judicial officers eligible to obtain a license to carry a concealed handgun. Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
