IN RE:	HB3747 by Phillips (Relating to the issuance of a concealed handgun license to certain retired judicial officers.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to add a retired federal judge that is a resident of Texas or a retired judge that is a visiting judge to the list of active or retired judicial officers eligible to obtain a license to carry a concealed handgun. Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
