No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Penal Code to add abduction of a child younger than 18 to the circumstances which constitute aggravated kidnapping and amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to add abduction of a child younger than 18 to the list of offenses with a  statute of limitations of ten years from the 18th birthday of the victim of the offense.  This analysis assumes implementing the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant impact on state correctional agencies.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
