LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 12, 2015

TO:
Honorable Byron Cook, Chair, House Committee on State Affairs

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB3765 by Laubenberg (Relating to consent to an abortion on a minor.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require a physician performing an abortion on an unemancipated minor to obtain written, notarized consent of the minor and the minor's parent, managing conservator, or legal guardian except in certain circumstances. The Department of State Health Services indicates that implementation of the provisions of the bill can absorbed within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
