No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to specify what electronic customer data may be collected by an authorized peace officer possessing a warrant, order, or other legal process from a provider of a wire or electronic communications service, a remote computing service, or a communication common carrier. It is assumed any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
