No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to entitle a person stopped or arrested on suspicion of an intoxication offense to receive from the law enforcement agency employing the peace officer who made the stop or arrest a copy of any video made by or at the direction of the officer that contains certain specified footage. It is assumed any costs associated with implementing the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
Local Government Impact
There may be a cost for recording media and equipment to local law enforcement agencies; however no significant impact is anticipated.
