No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Local Government Code to prohibit certain municipalities from making an expenditure of $50,000 or more unless the municipality complies with requirements put forth in the bill, including publishing a notice of the expenditure and approving the expenditure not earlier than the 7th day after the notice is published.
