No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Property Code to permit a repossession agent to file and obtain a writ of assistance for the repossession of an aircraft in a justice court. The bill would authorize a peace officer to assist and protect a repossession agent in gaining possession of the aircraft. The bill would prescribe requirements for the petition and the granting of the writ.
The Office of Court Administration reported no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
