No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Election Code to require the Secretary of State to adopt rules for the suspension of certain election officials and the review and reinstatement of the suspended election official's eligibility if the election official is not finally convicted of an offense in connection with the violation.
The Secretary of State indicates the provisions of the bill could be implemented within existing resources.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.
