No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 485 of the Health and Safety Code to include carbon dioxide in the form of a compressed gas propellant and meeting certain criteria in the definition of an abusable volatile chemical. The Department of State Health Services (DSHS) indicates that inspection, enforcement, and rulemaking activities required to implement the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
