No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated, other than the cost of publication.

The cost to the state for publication of the resolution is $118,681.

The resolution would proposed an amendment to the Texas Constitution to prohibit certain political subdivisions from abolishing an office of the political subdivision or changing the boundaries of a district from which an officer is elected during the period beginning on the general primary day and ending the following general election day. The proposed constitutional amendment would be submitted to voters at a election held on November 3, 2015.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
