No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code to define the types of conduct for which a person may bring suit for personal injury not later than 15 years after the day the cause of action accrues and types of conduct for which a person may bring suit for personal injury not later than five years after the day the cause of action accrues. Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
