No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Chapter 2054 of the Government Code to require the Department of Information Resources to submit by January 13 of each odd-numbered year a report to the governor, lieutenant governor, and the legislature evaluating information security for the state's information resources. The Department of Information Resources indicates that any costs associated with implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
