LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 14, 2015

TO:
Honorable Kel Seliger, Chair, Senate Committee on Higher Education

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB37 by Zaffirini (Relating to a study of the participation of individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in public higher education.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Higher Education Coordinating Board, in conjunction with the Comptroller of Public Accounts, to conduct a study of the participation of individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in public education. This analysis assumes that any costs for the Higher Education Coordinating Board and the Comptroller of Public Accounts to implement the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within current resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
