FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
SB145 by Rodríguez (Relating to reimbursement for certain medical costs for survivors of sexual assault.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure, relating to reimbursement for certain medical costs from the Crime Victim's Compensation Fund. The bill would provide an exception to prompt reporting requirements if the request reported is for reimbursement of a forensic medical examination or other medical care obtained by a victim of the offense of Continuous Sexual Abuse of Young Child, Indecency with a Child, Sexual Assault, or Aggravated Sexual Assault. The Office of Court Administration indicates that implementing bill provisions are not anticipated to have a significant fiscal implication in the court system.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
