FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

May 15, 2015

TO:
Honorable Harold V. Dutton, Jr., Chair, House Committee on Juvenile Justice & Family Issues

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB183 by Huffman (Relating to the offenses of the violation of civil rights of and improper sexual activity with individuals in custody; imposing a criminal penalty.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Penal Code to include certain juvenile facilities to which the offense of violation of the civil rights of persons in custody would apply. This analysis assumes implementing the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant impact on state correctional agencies.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
