No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Chapter 242 of the Health and Safety Code to require the Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) to revoke the license of a facility if the license holder commits certain violations. Based on the LBB's analysis of DADS and the Health and Human Services Commission, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. This analysis assumes there would not be a significant increase in the number of facilities entering into informal dispute resolution as a result of the implementation of the bill.
