SB374 by Schwertner (Relating to requiring state agencies to participate in the federal electronic verification of employment authorization program, or E-verify.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to require certain state agencies to register and participate in the federal electronic verification of employment authorization program (E-Verify program) to verify information of all new employees. The Texas Workforce Commission would be required to adopt rules and prescribe forms to implement the bill.
 
The bill would take effect on September 1, 2015.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
