No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code relating to the truth as a defense to a libel action.  Bill provisions are not anticipated to have a significant fiscal implication on the workloads of the judiciary.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
