No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Local Government and Government Code relating to the creation, incorporation procedures, municipal processes, annexation procedures, financial requirements and operating procedures of a Liberty City general-law municipality.

Local Government Impact

There could be costs to a municipality that transitioned and was designated as a Liberty City general-law municipality. These costs would include election costs, costs of preparing certain budget and financial information, and the costs of maintaining a website.
