No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

This bill would amend the Government Code regarding veteran's employment preferences. Among its provisions, the bill would specify which individuals are eligible for the veteran's employment preference and which state agencies must offer the veteran's employment preference. The bill would also provide private employers with the right to offer a veteran's employment preference.

It is assumed that any additional costs associated with the implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing state resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
