No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code to specify that public duty as it relates to a justification excluding criminal responsibility would apply to the conduct of an activated service member of the Texas Military Forces that is performed in the service member's official capacity.
The Texas Military Department anticipates no significant fiscal impact as the result of implementation of the bill.
The bill would take effect immediately upon a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, or September 1, 2015.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
