FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
SB858 by Eltife (Relating to license holders authorized to obtain label approval for beer, ale, and malt liquor.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code by authorizing additional license holders to apply for and receive label approval on certain alcoholic beverages. The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.
The bill takes effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all members elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If the bill does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this bill takes effect September 1, 2015.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
