No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Local Government Code to authorize county commissioners courts in certain counties to set the compensation and allowances of the county auditor in an amount that exceeds the limit under current statute.

It is assumed that a county commissioners court would not approve compensation and allowances that would exceed the allowable amount under current statute unless sufficient funds were available. Therefore, no significant fiscal impact is anticipated.
