No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

This bill would amend the Utilities Code relating to the authority of the Public Utility Commission of Texas to retain assistance for federal proceedings affecting certain electric utilities and consumers. Based on information provided by the Public Utility Commission, Office of Public Utility Counsel, and Office of the Attorney General, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
