FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

March 16, 2015

TO:
Honorable Kel Seliger, Chair, Senate Committee on Higher Education

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB947 by Zaffirini (Relating to a study and report by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board on the feasibility of providing off-campus employment positions through the Texas college work-study program.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would required the Higher Education Coordinating Board to study and report the feasibility of providing off-campus employment positions through the Texas college work-study program. Although the agency identified costs associated with hiring an outside consultant for the study, it assumed these costs could be absorbed within current resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
