LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 24, 2015

TO:
Honorable Joan Huffman, Chair, Senate Committee on State Affairs

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB1014 by Rodríguez (Relating to the possession of and access to a child in a suit affecting the parent-child relationship in which there is evidence of family violence, child abuse or neglect, or the sexual assault of one parent by the other parent.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code to provide criteria for a court to use when awarding or excluding parties from appointments of conservatorships, as described. The bill would set other conditions and authorize other actions relating to conservatorship. The Office of Court Administration indicates implementing bill provisions are not anticipated to have a significant fiscal implication on the court system.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
