FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

May 13, 2015

TO:
Honorable John T. Smithee, Chair, House Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB1022 by Uresti (Relating to an unsworn declaration made by a private process server in the performance of the server's job duties.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code, to require the additional language in the unsworn declaration of a process server made under statutory provisions. The Office of Court Administration indicates implementing bill provisions are not anticipated to have a significant fiscal implication for the court system.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
