FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

May 12, 2015

TO:
Honorable Robert Nichols, Chair, Senate Committee on Transportation

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB1045 by Hall (Relating to the authority of the Texas Department of Transportation to enter into a design-build contract for the Interstate Highway 635 East project.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Subchapter F, Chapter 223 of the Transportation Code to authorize the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to enter into a design-build contract for the Interstate Highway 635 East project from U.S. Highway 75 to Interstate Highway 30 if TxDOT does not operate any portion of the project as a toll project.

Based on the information provided by TxDOT, it is assumed the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the state.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
