The bill would amend the Elections Code to require candidates for elected offices to provide certain information and its availability.
The bill would require certain authorities to mark a general primary ballot application as incomplete if the payment for the application fee is returned as insufficient funds. The bill would allow an applicant to resubmit payment if the application was received before the end of the filing period.
The bill would change procedures related to the canvassing of primary elections by certain campaign officials. The bill would also require the Secretary of State (SOS) to post information to the SOS website indicating the status of each candidate for the general primary election and runoff primary election.
