This bill would amend the Water Code relating to the functions of the Public Utility Commission of Texas in relation to the economic regulation of water and sewer service. Based on information provided by the Public Utility Commission and the Commission on Environmental Quality, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
