No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to the authority and rights of pharmacy services administrative organizations to conduct the business of independent pharmacies with respect to certain pharmacy benefits.

Based on information provided by the Teacher Retirement System, Employees Retirement System, Texas Department of Insurance, Health and Human Services Commission, Texas A&M University System Administration, and the University of Texas System Administration, it is assumed that all duties and responsibilities necessary to implement the provisions of the bill could be accomplished utilizing existing staff and resources.
