No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Agriculture Code to require the Texas Department of Agriculture to waive certain agricultural license fees if the entity is a public school which will establish or maintain an educational program involving agriculture and hydroponics.  TDA indicates costs or revenue loss associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.
 
The bill would also amend the Parks and Wildlife Code to require the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) to waive certain exotic species permit fees if the entity is a public school which will establish or maintain an educational program involving aquaculture and hydroponics.  TPWD indicates costs or revenue loss associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.
