SB1222 by Bettencourt (Relating to the authority of the commissioner of education to issue subpoenas during an investigation of educator misconduct.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would allow the Commissioner of Education to issue a subpoena in the course of an educator misconduct investigation. The bill would allow the Commissioner to file suit in a district court to enforce a subpoena if a person failed to comply.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
