No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code relating to the development of a mental health intervention program for veterans. The bill would require the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) to develop a rural veterans mental health initiative. DSHS and the Veterans Commission indicate that provisions of the bill can be implemented within existing resources.
