No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code, requiring judges to publish information about attorney ad litem appointments. By November 1 of each year, a judge of any court who appointed an attorney ad litem for a case would be required to complete a report containing certain information as described, and post it at the courthouse door and on any court website.
The Office of Court Administration indicates that because court clerks are already required by Supreme Court rule to provide reports on payments made of $500 or more on a monthly basis, no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated.
