SB1398 by Hall (relating to a study by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas on securing critical infrastructure from electromagnetic, geomagnetic, terrorist, and cyber-attack threats.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Public Utility Commission to instruct a certain independent organization to commission a study on the security of the Texas electric grid and the computer and networks related to the Texas electric grid. It is assumed any costs associated with this study could be absorbed within existing resources. 

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
