No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies code to repeal Section 75.0022(b) regarding limited liability of electric utilities that allow certain uses of land that it owns, occupies, and leases in counties with populations of four million or more.
Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration and Public Utility Commission, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
