IN RE: | SB1583 by Taylor, Van (Relating to classifying synthetic cannabinoid or cathinone as a Schedule I controlled substance under the Texas Controlled Substances Act; affecting the prosecution of a criminal offense.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted |
The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to classify synthetic cannabinoid or cathinone as Schedule I controlled substances under the Texas Controlled Substances Act.
The Department of Public Safety indicates no significant fiscal impact as a result of implementing the provisions of the bill. This analysis assumes the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant impact on state correctional agencies.
