SB1600 by Kolkhorst (Relating to a limit on the award of attorney's fees in certain actions brought against a governmental entity.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code, relating to attorney's fees in a declaratory judgment action against the state or a state agency.  The bill would cap attorney's fees at $250,000.  The Office of Court Administration indicates that bill provisions are not anticipated to have a significant fiscal implication to the court system.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
