LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

May 20, 2015

TO:
Honorable John Zerwas, Chair, House Committee on Higher Education

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB1624 by Rodríguez (Relating to a requirement that certain entering students at a general academic teaching institution receive information regarding mental health and suicide prevention services.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require general academic teaching institutions to provide certain students information regarding mental health and suicide prevention services. This analysis assumes that any costs to general academic teaching institutions to implement the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within current resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
