No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code to modify the requirements of the commissioners of public housing authorities. The bill would require certain municipalities to appoint at least two commissioners who are directly assisted by the housing authority. Under the provisions of the bill, a commissioner would not be permitted to participate in certain votes or discussions regarding the termination of occupancy rights. The bill provides reappointment procedures for a commissioner who ceases to receive housing assistance from a program.
