No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to modify the requirements of the commissioners of public housing authorities. The bill would require certain municipalities to appoint at least two commissioners who are tenants of a public housing project or recipients of housing assistance administered through the authority's housing voucher program. Under the provisions of the bill, certain commissioners would not be permitted to participate in votes or discussions concerning the termination of certain rights. The bill provides reappointment procedures for a commissioner who ceases to receive housing assistance from a program.
