No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Agriculture Code to modify provisions of a criminal penalty relating the sale or use of an incorrect weighing or measuring device.

Local Government Impact

There would be additional revenue to counties from fines imposed; however the amounts would vary depending on the number of offenses committed under the new provisions. The provisions of the bill are not anticipated to have a significant fiscal impact.
