IN RE:
SJR48 by Lucio (Proposing a constitutional amendment authorizing the issuance of additional obligations to provide financial assistance to counties for roadways to serve border colonias.), As Introduced
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated, other than the cost of publication.
The cost to the state for publication of the resolution is $118,681.
Local Government Impact
The resolution if adopted by the voters in November 2015 would enable an additional $100 million in general obligation bonds to provide counties with financial assistance for roadway projects in, around or near border colonias. The amount of bonds issued, and the appropriation of funds for related debt service, would be dependent on subsequent legislative action.
