Pursuant to a notice posted on August 18, 2016, the House Committee on Appropriations - S/C on Article III met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Ashby, at 9:02 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Ashby; Giddings; Howard; Raney; and VanDeaver.

A quorum was present.

The Committee took testimony on Interim Charge #13: Conduct a review of current public education programs administered by the Texas Education Agency that are funded outside of the Foundation School Program. Make recommendations to increase, decrease, or eliminate programs based on measurable performance and effectiveness.

At 10:10 a.m., on the motion of Representative Ashby and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
