Pursuant to a notice posted on September 8, 2015, the House Committee on County Affairs met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Coleman, at 10:06 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Coleman; Burrows; Romero, Jr.; and Spitzer.

The Committee met to discuss possible changes to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards minimum standards and better processes with regards to inmate care, training, and coordination among county jails, local mental health authorities, and the Department of State Health Services.

At 1:30 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
