Pursuant to a notice posted on March 16, 2016, the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Herrero, at 9:15 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Herrero; Canales; Hunter; Leach; and Shaheen.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

The Committee met jointly with the House Committee on Corrections to consider the following interim charge: Examine fees and revocations for those on probation and parole; examine effectiveness of fees imposed as a condition of probation and parole; study technical revocations in adult probation to identify drivers of revocations while ensuring program effectiveness and public safety.
