Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 20, 2015, the House Committee on Economic & Small Business Development met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Button, at 1:08 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Button; Anderson, Charles "Doc"; Faircloth; Metcalf; Rodriguez, Eddie; Villalba; and Vo.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

SB 208

 

The chair laid out SB 208, the Senate companion to HB 3294.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Anderson, Charles "Doc" moved that SB 208, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Button; Anderson, Charles "Doc"; Faircloth; Metcalf; Villalba; Vo (6).

 

Nays:                           Representative Rodriguez, Eddie (1).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Johnson; Isaac (2).

 

At 1:10 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
