Pursuant to a notice posted on March 20, 2015, revised on March 20, 2015, and permission granted on March 25, 2015, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Investments & Financial Services met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Parker, at 5:51 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Parker; Longoria; Capriglione; Flynn; Landgraf; Pickett; and Stephenson.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

The chair directed that the March 18, 2015 minutes for the House Committee on Investments & Financial Services be corrected. The corrected minutes were authorized without objection.

 

The chair directed that the minutes reflect that on March 19, 2015, the Chair referred the following bills to the subcommittee on State and Local Bonded Indebtedness: HB 1401, HB 1750, HB 1752, HB 2819, HB 2099, and HB 3344.

 

HB 870

 

The chair laid out HB 870 as pending business.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Capriglione moved that HB 870, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Parker; Longoria; Capriglione; Flynn; Landgraf; Pickett; Stephenson (7).
